Who We Are
We are a group of medical students and designers that have come together from diverse backgrounds to form Gia as a way to help patients have a better experience in the world of health.
What We Do
Gia was built with the idea that every person who is in need of a pelvic exam deserves to maintain their dignity and comfort regardless of the situation surrounding their exam. Based on these core beliefs, as well as interviews with patients and providers, we have formed Gia, a product development firm focused on providing solutions for improving patient experiences. As of now, Gia is working to develop its first product, the Gia Tilt, a fold-able pelvic support device optimized for pelvic exams performed in the ER environment. We are currently in the process of refining the Gia Tilt and pitching to investors, and hope to bring Gia Tilts into the ER in the near future.
Where We Are
Gia is located in the JeffDesign Vault, located in Center City, Philadelphia PA. As students of Jefferson University, we were able to use the JeffSolves Summer Program in order to develop our company and our product. We continue to use the hospitals surrounding us to conduct interviews and observe the healthcare environment in order to gain more insights that we can use to improve upon our Gia Tilt Product.
